每个星期五晚上我都会和我的朋友去打台球。有的人喜欢去酒吧打台球，但是我们喜欢去台球馆打。 Měi gè xīngqīwǔ wǎnshàng wǒ dōu huì hé wǒ de péngyou qù dǎ táiqiú. Yǒu de rén xǐhuān qù jiǔbā dǎ táiqiú, dànshì wǒmen xǐhuān qù táiqiúguǎn dǎ. Every Friday evening I go with my friends to play pool. Some people like to go to the bar to play pool, but we like to go to the pool hall.
台球馆每个星期五有比赛。有时候有一百多人参加。比赛规则很简单：你和对手打一局；谁赢就到下一轮；谁输就淘汰。 Táiqiúguǎn měi gè xīngqīwǔ yǒu bǐsài. Yǒu shíhou yǒu yì bǎi duō rén cānjiā. Bǐsài guīzé hěn jiǎndān: nǐ hé duìshǒu dǎ yì jú; shéi yíng jiù dào xià yì lún; shéi shū jiù táotài. Every Friday the pool hall has a competition. Sometimes more than 100 people take part. The competition rules are very simple: you and your opponent play one game; whoever wins goes to the next round; whoever loses is eliminated.
我们打的是八球台球。也有人喜欢九球，但是我觉得八球更好玩。 Wǒmen dǎ de shì bāqiú táiqiú. Yě yǒu rén xǐhuān jiǔqiú, dànshì wǒ juéde bāqiú gèng hǎowánr. We play 8 ball pool. There are some that prefer 9 ball, but I think 8 ball is more fun.

快点儿，我的对手说。我能感觉到很多人都在看我，就开始紧张了。我终于决定了怎么打。 Kuài diǎnr, wǒ de duìshǒu shuō. Wǒ néng gǎnjué dào hěn duō rén dōu zài kàn wǒ, jiù kāishǐ jǐnzhāng le. Wǒ zhōngyú juédìngle zěnme dǎ. Hurry up, my opponent said. I could feel that lots of people were watching me, and so started to feel nervous. I finally decided how to play the shot.
“啪”，黑球直接进去了！我太高兴了，“我赢了，我赢了！”但是，白球还没有停。它慢慢地滚啊滚啊… Pā, hēiqiú zhíjiē jìnqu le! Wǒ tài gāoxìng le,”wǒ yíng le, wǒ yíng le!” Dànshì, báiqiú hái méiyǒu tíng. 有一个规则，如果黑球和白球同时进就算输，我一直很不喜欢这个规则！ Yǒu yí gè guīzé, rúguǒ hēiqiú hé báiqiú tóngshí jìn jiù suàn shū, wǒ yìzhí hěn bù xǐhuān zhège guīzé! There is a rule, if you pot the white and black at the same time it counts as a loss – I always hated this rule!
我的对手有一点尴尬，因为他什么都没有做，就赢了决赛。 Wǒ de duìshǒu yǒu yì diǎn gāngà, yīnwèi tā shénme dōu méiyǒu zuò, jiù yíngle juésài. My opponent was a little bit embarrassed, because he didn’t do anything at all, and won the final.
下个星期五我会再去。希望我的运气可以好一些！ Xià gè xīngqīwǔ wǒ huì zài qù. Xīwàng wǒ de yùnqì kěyǐ hǎo yì xiē! Next Friday I’ll go again. Hopefully my luck can be a bit better!
