我叫李强，22岁。我来自农村，但是我现在在大城市里打工。 Wǒ jiào Lǐ Qiáng, èrshí’èr suì. Wǒ láizì nóngcūn, dànshì wǒ xiànzài zài dà chéngshì lǐ dǎgōng. My name is Li Qiang, 22 years old. I come from the countryside, but now I work in a big city.
我的父母是农民。他们的父母也是农民，但是现在的农村年轻人不太想当农民，我们想去城市赚钱。 Wǒ de fùmǔ shì nóngmín. Tāmen de fùmǔ yě shì nóngmín, dànshì xiànzài de nóngcūn niánqīngrén bú tài xiǎng dāng nóngmín, wǒmen xiǎng qù chéngshì zhuàn qián. My parents are farmers. Their parents were also farmers, but nowadays young rural people don’t want to be farmers, we want to go to the city and earn money.

During the early shift, the night shift people sleep, and in the evening we switch.
我在工地上的宿舍住。这里的房子建完之后我会去找别的工作。 Wǒ zài gōngdì shàng de sùshè zhù. Zhèlǐ de fángzi jiànwán zhīhòu wǒ huì qù zhǎo biéde gōngzuò. I live in a dormitory on site. After the houses here are finished I’ll find another job.
我原来的打算是在城市工作三四年，然后回老家买房子结婚。但是，我已经习惯在城市里住，现在想继续在城市里生活。 Wǒ yuánlái de dǎsuàn shì zài chéngshì gōngzuò sān-sì nián, ránhòu huí lǎojiā mǎi fángzi jiéhūn.
