我的一个同事很喜欢喝酒。一到周末他就去酒吧，然后喝到酒吧关门。他是一个大胖子，非常能喝。虽然他经常喝很多，但是没人看过他喝醉。 Wǒ de yí gè tóngshì hěn xǐhuan hējiǔ. Yí dào zhōumò tā jiù qù jiǔbā, ránhòu hē dào jiǔbā guānmén. Tā shì yí gè dà pàngzi, fēicháng néng hē. Suīrán tā jīngcháng hē hěn duō, dànshì méi rén kànguò tā hēzuì. One of my colleagues really likes to drink. As soon as it’s the weekend, he goes to the bar, and drinks until the bar closes. He’s a big fat guy who can really take his drink. Although he regularly drinks a lot, no one has ever seen him drunk.
我们都害怕和他喝酒。他最喜欢说的是“干杯！”他先给大家都倒一杯，然后大声说“干杯！”我们喝完之后，他又给我们倒一杯，又请大家干杯。很快，我们都喝醉了，而他还是很清醒。 Wǒmen dōu hàipà hé tā hējiǔ. Tā zuì xǐhuan shuō de shì “gānbēi!” Tā xiān gěi dàjiā dōu dào yì bēi, ránhòu dàshēng shuō “gānbēi!” Wǒmen hēwán zhīhòu, tā yòu gěi wǒmen dào yì bēi, yòu qǐng dàjiā gānbēi. Hěn kuài, wǒmen dōu hēzuì le, ér tā háishi hěn qīngxǐng. We are all afraid of drinking with him. His favourite thing to say is “ganbei” (drink up, cheers etc.). He first pours everyone a glass, and then says loudly “ganbei!”. After we have finished, he then pours us another glass, and asks us all to “ganbei” again. We are soon all drunk, but he is still sober.
记得上次跟他去酒吧。我们要求他喝白酒，而我们用小杯喝啤酒。他喝的白酒60多度，而我们喝的啤酒只有3度左右。即使是这样，他还是没醉，而我们第二天都很不舒服。下次我要喝茶！ Jìde shàng cì gēn tā qù jiǔbā. Wǒmen yāoqiú tā hē báijiǔ, ér wǒmen yòng xiǎo bēi hē píjiǔ. I remember the last time we went to the bar with him. We insisted he drink “baijiu” (strong rice liquor), and we drank beer from small glasses. The baijiu he was drinking was more than 60% (abv), and the beer we were drinking was only around 3%. Despite this, he still didn’t get drunk, and we all felt very unwell the next day. Next time I want to drink tea!
